Books I am currently reading: Skin Secrets by Liz Earle, Before She Was Mine by Kate Long, Obsolete by Anna Jane Grossman, Moranthology by Caitlin Moran and Bright Young Things by Scarlett Thomas :) #books #bookworm #read #reading
I’ve recently finished reading ‘How To Be a Woman’ by Caitlin Moran. I found it really interesting and funny, too. Could anyone recommend me any more books like that or generally on feminism?
Reading a new book, from an author you’ve never even heard of, from start to finish in less than three days.
I started ‘You Against Me’ (Jenny Downham) on Sunday and I’ve just finished it. It is so nice to be completely pulled in by a book, to want to keep turning the pages even when you are exhausted, a book you just can’t put down. I’ve not had that in so long. Since April I’ve been so busy. Working, going between Derby, Nottingham and London, festivals, making stuff, selling stuff, seeing friends. I haven’t had a chance to sit down and really get into a book. I’ve been reading Corey Taylor’s Seven Deadly Sins, which by the way is amazing. But I’m on about fiction books. A book you can disappear into.
I now want the Author’s other books.
How amazing is this? I am determined to buy one when I have more cash.

Someone take me here?
- Tea. Nuff said.
- Watching Buffy. Over, and over, and over again.
- Reading a new book and being completely sucked in.
- New tattoos, the feeling of a needle penetrating your skin depositing prettiful colours truly is like no other feeling.
- Meeting new people who turn out to be people who make an impact on your life.
- Festivals, the whole sleeping in a tent thing is lush, the bands, the sun, the stalls and shisha. The laughs, memories made, bands you couldn’t wait to see and those you thought you’d never get the chance to see. Finding new bands, making new friends and getting so drunk for days on end that you need a week to recover.
- Sweet texts, emails or phone calls that give you that little smile that not much else can.
- Feeling comfortable enough with someone to snuggle up and not have to talk, just snuggling in that comfortable content moment.
The spoilers were officially released from 1997 through 2007 in the form of these nifty things:
Aha, love it.
I don’t really like my theme anymore. I think I may change it? And my ‘about me’ thingy-ma-bobby. That could do with changing too! All added to tonight’s ‘to do’ which currently consists of…
Get out of bed and stop reading my book when I have two important lab tests to revise for.
Go cook myself a yummy, spicy, scrumptious chicken curry!
Revise for two important lab tests.
(In reality I will more than likely continue reading, not eat til late, and cram on the way to London tomorrow…)
Oh what a wonderful student I am :)
Hello. My name is Sophia, or as my friends seem to call me, the tea lady/tea face. I am 22, 23 this July, a Psychology student at Middlesex University in London and I am probably pretty boring =] I like tea, sharks and tattoos, I am far too obsessed with Jacoby Shaddix, Papa Roach, Skindred and just lately, We Are The Ocean. I have 26 tattoos although as of next Saturday that will probably be 30, 6 piercings with one lobe stretched to 20mm and I am far curvier than I would like. I am single. Which I do not like. I love to read, I have the biggest, saddest obsession with Buffy The Vampire Slayer and I want to work with mass murderers, rapists and paedophiles!
Welcome to my tumblr :)
Here is what I wish I was doing this summer; Along with my Download and Sonisphere festivals, then Iron Maiden tour in August, I wish I was…. spending the summer in some of the cities I have always wanted to visit. Paris, Venice, Milan, Edinburgh (which I have been to but I’d love to go there for longer) Cape Town, New York… Visiting the places I’ve always wanted to see, doing the things I’ve always day dreamed about…. Or maybe some time in Egypt.
Reality? Cold old England. Fml.
a lovely lady (http://bearcushions.tumblr.com/) had the inspired idea to read 20 books this year (a lot for me! as i get distracted) and i’m going to do it too! i MUST have that many around the flat waiting to be read - most bought in bookshops or off amazon from reading the blurbs! will compile a list shortly and put it up :)
I’m going to do this :) I read a lot anyway! But this sounds like a fab idea!
