note: these are just some tips and ideas I’ve got together from my time spent here on tumblr, not a “professional” how-to. i’m not really good with this kind of things though, and neither is my english, so bear with me (▰U_U▰)

track (or browse through) tags related to letter writing/”penpalling”, such as:

  • penpal / pen pal
  • penpals /pen pals
  • letter writing
  • snailmail / snail mail
  • etc

lately there have been a lot of people looking for pen pals, so take a little time to browse & read a few posts

through this tags you can also find various snail mail related tumblr blogs, like:



don’t be afraid to submit your own ad on these pages, and also don’t be afraid to contact people. if you’re insecure about giving your address away right away, ask the other person to tell a little bit about herself/himself. penpalling is about making new friendships, so no need to rush things.
